What I got my husband for our wedding day

I always like to give lots of little thoughtful gifts, as apposed to just one big gift - Todd prefers a stocking full of presents at Christmas as apposed to one big one under the tree, and so I made him a box full of things he may need for the morning of our wedding day.

I created labels for each gift and attached it with a piece of jupe string. I wanted to make him laugh, cry and tut at me from afar & if you've watched our wedding video, you can see he got a little teary eyed! There are a few things I can't quite note down in this blog post, just incase my mother is reading...

First up you'll need a box, I got a medium kraft brown box from paperchase, you can find it here https://www.paperchase.co.uk/cards/wrap/gift-boxes-bags/medium-kraft-gift-box.html

Then I included the following...

An engraved pocket watch for the typical "meet me here on time" gift. You don't have to spend a fortune on a pocket watch, but we wanted something nice to be passed down as an heirloom to our children's children etc. This is the one I got for Toddy http://www.watchshop.com/royal-london-full-hunter-watch-90021-02-p99941409.html and the label I attached to it reads "So that you will be on time to meet me at the end of our aisle"

Deodorant "To calm the sweats " - Superdrug
Anadin "In preparation for tomorrow's hangover" - Superdrug
Tissues "For an emotional day ahead" - Superdrug
Dioralyte "Incase you're shitting yourself" - Superdrug
Mints "For a fresh first smooch"- Superdrug
Grey goose vodka "To calm pre wedding nerves" - Duty free (although you can get these in most off-licenses)
Dutch courage miniature bottle and shot glass "Your favourite shot before you tie the knot" - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/203233565/nervous-bride-and-groom-kit?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=dutch%20courage&ref=sr_gallery_5

You don't want to spend too much on gifts for eachother, when you've just spent thousands of pounds on the wedding you're about to have - All of this cost me around £90 and his reaction to it was just perfect. I finished off this gift with some pretty ribon and a heartfelt written card from etsy which you can find here https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/472710171/i-do-card-groom-wedding-day-card-bride?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=i%20do%20card&ref=sc_gallery_1&plkey=ec5205ceaad29e42a10f8531513c6fc7c3a2b145:472710171

And here is Mr Willis and his groomsmen wearing their pocket watches on our day, his brother Jake bought all of the groomsmen pocket watches, and his Mum made two charms of his grandad's who sadly couldn't be with us. I hope you've found this helpful!

Love, Rey x
